Botanical Resources Australia is a global leader in the production of the natural insecticide active ingredient, Pyrethrins, extracted from Australian grown pyrethrum daisies. With more than thirty years of proprietary plant breeding and field trial research behind them, they are continuously optimising how they, and their grower partners, sustainably maximise productivity and production.Your new roleAs an Analytical Chemist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of pyrethrum products and associated extraction processes. You'll be operating HPLC, UPLC, GC and LC mass spectrometers to undertake deep analysis of pyrethrum plant material and associated compounds. Your responsibilities will include:Undertake a range of analyses of pyrethrum plant material and related products to support production, sales, compliance and research activities.Assist in maintaining, and improving, the safe work environment and observe BRA's Safety Procedures.Improve, develop and validate new and existing methods for analysis of pyrethrum-based products and other compounds of interest.Operation and routine maintenance of scientific equipment including HPLC, GC and LC/GC-MSMS.Timely reporting of results as required to meet customer requirements.Assist in maintaining and managing laboratory Quality Systems for ISO-17025/NATA accreditation and support BRA Quality Systems (e.g., ISO-9001).Perform calibration and verification of laboratory equipment.What you'll need to succeedYou'll need current and proven experience working as an Analytical Chemist, ideally within a manufacturing environment. You'll need to be a degree qualified chemistry driven scientist with practical experience operating GC and or LC mass spectrometers.
