About the Role: Analytical ChemistAs an Analytical Chemist at AusNet, you will be responsible for chemical and electrical analyses of insulating media from various electrical plant and equipment. Your role will involve providing technical assistance and training to team members, maintaining quality standards, and enhancing methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:Provide accurate and timely data and reports for analysis.Ensure work is in compliance with quality, safety, and test standards.Train, mentor, and coach team members.Maintain quality accreditations and support the development of new test methodologies.Identify non-conformances within the Laboratory Management System.Requirements:To be successful in this role, we are looking for a good combination of:
Bachelor's degree in applied science (Chemistry) or equivalent, or extensive industry experience.Extensive knowledge of analytical techniques and instrument operation.Working knowledge of scientific instrument maintenance (GC, HPLC preferred).Demonstrated history of working in a routine scientific laboratory.Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.Strong focus on safety and adherence to relevant standards.Benefits at AusNet:At AusNet, we celebrate diversity and unique voices within our team.
