Reporting to the Supervisor Technology Operations Centre, you will be responsible for spearheading continuous process improvement initiatives within the Technology Operations Centre, Rail Systems, and supporting teams to enhance operational efficiency and reliability.
As a pivotal escalation point for IT/OT Incident Management, this position is dedicated to expediting issue resolution, thereby maximizing production uptime and reducing Mean Time To Resolve (MTTR).
The role demands a relentless pursuit of operational excellence across mission-critical systems such as LTE, AHS, Auto Drills, and Rail Communications.
This is achieved through proactive maintenance strategies, ensuring high system availability, enhancing usability, and supporting continuous business improvement efforts.
Duties: Execute and perform processes that optimize the cost and quality of services by adhering fault response procedures and playbooks to triage, respond, and communicate about faults.
Triage, troubleshoot, and respond to faults within skillset, authorisation, and playbooks, or engage additional specialist technical assistance Collaborate with teams both within and outside of technology, in the operations centre and on-site, to support production-critical operational technology and resolve incidents efficiently.
Record fault details, timelines, investigation results, actions and effort taken to respond, and root cause in ITSM Toolset.
Generate SAP and Servicenow notifications and record all investigation results and actions prior to triaging to level 2/3 teams Detect, monitor and respond to dashboards triggered alarms and maintaining operational health which is deemed critical for the successful execution of vital business function.
Adopt and deploy log analyses for evidence to support root cause identification.
Coordinate fault response with multiple parties including business stakeholders, technical resources, vendors, and users.
This includes contacting Major Incident Manager for high impact faults or issues to escalate and seek guidance.
Skills and Experience: Bachelor's Degree or higher in related domains and/or demonstrated, relevant industry experience which may include Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology, or Software Engineering.
Demonstrated experience supporting a range of users in mid-to large scale technology operations.
Proven track record in process improvement and major incident management.
ITIL knowledge (incident, problem and change) Previous ITSM Tool Use (ServiceNow highly desirable) Experience with network monitoring and security monitoring systems, log management and analytics/dashboarding systems.
