The key responsibilities• Assist with the collation, storage and management of data and information, ensuring accuracy, currency, confidentiality and comprehensiveness of the collections.• Conduct analysis and review of demographic and social data and information, including those pertaining to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.• Assist with writing and running data management and statistical modelling programs using a variety of software, such as R.• Contribute to the monitoring and modelling of populations, including Queensland, its regions and specific cohorts such as school student populations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.• Prepare reports, briefings, correspondence, graphical and statistical information, maps and presentations.• Represent the Office at meetings, presentations, working parties and conferences.• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with other team members, clients, data custodians and other stakeholders.• Actively ensure that team outputs satisfy Office standards for integrity, accuracy and timeliness based on quality principles and methodologies.Success criteriaTo be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:• knowledge of, and applied experience in acquiring, manipulating, analysing and interpreting data• experience in, or the potential to quickly learn to use statistical software will be advantageous• experience in writing reports based on demographic or statistical information is also requiredApplications to remain current for 12 months.Job Ad Reference: QLD/572721/24Closing Date: Tuesday, 09 July 2024
