The team at BVAQ have developed robust quality systems, invested in comprehensive equipment, assets and services to ensure that our facility is a world class operation.The role:Opportunities exist for an Analyst level V to join our team in Silverwater in a permanent role (Sunday to Thursday). You will be directly responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and food testing and will conduct a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated and fully automated techniques. If the test is automated, you may be required to analyse data and report results.Your day to day will include but is not limited to:Receiving, registration weighing and sample preparationManaging several tests / tasks at once and coordinating with other personnelOperating analytical equipment requiring decisions to be made based on technical knowledgeAssisting with clients courier booking for sample pick upCommunicating sample requirements to other personnelChoosing and optimising procedures and equipment settings to suit sample/test requirementsWhat's needed?To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Science or related discipline (desirable)Hands-on experience in a laboratory environment (desirable)Ability to prioritise work to meet daily deadlinesCapacity to work effectively as part of a teamExperience in a fast-paced environment with a strong customer focusSafety is an absolute.
