The role: Opportunities exist for an Analyst to join our team in Canning Vale. As a level I Analyst, you will be directly responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and food testing. You will also conduct a wide range of test using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated techniques. If the test is automated you may be required to analyse data and report results.
Your day to day will include but is not limited to:
Receiving, registration weighing and sample preparationManaging several tests / tasks at once and coordinating with other personnelOperating analytical equipment requiring decisions to be made based on technical knowledgeAssisting with clients courier booking for sample pick upCommunicating sample requirements to other personnelChoosing and optimising procedures and equipment settings to suit sample/test requirementsWhat's needed? To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
Ability to work autonomouslyAbility to perform complex tasksDiploma or Degree in Science or a related disciplineHands on experience in a laboratory environmentAbility to prioritise work in order to meet daily deadlinesClear written and verbal communication skillsDemonstratable knowledge of OHS requirements within a laboratoryCapacity to work effectively as part of a teamSafety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
