The role: Opportunities exist for a Casual Analyst Level I to join our team in Silverwater. You will be directly responsible for conducting routine sample preparation and food testing. You will also conduct a wide range of tests using manual, semi-automated, and fully automated techniques. If the test is automated you may be required to analyse data and report results.
Your day to day will include but is not limited to: Receiving, registration weighing and sample preparation Managing several tests / tasks at once and coordinating with other personnel Operating analytical equipment requiring decisions to be made based on technical knowledge Assisting with clients courier booking for sample pick up Communicating sample requirements to other personnel Choosing and optimising procedures and equipment settings to suit sample/test requirements What's needed? To be successful in this role you will need to possess the following:
Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Science or related discipline (desirable) Hands on experience in a laboratory environment (desirable) Available to work late shift between 12pm to 8pm if required Ability to prioritise work in order to meet daily deadlines Capacity to work effectively as part of a team Experience in a fast paced environment Safety is an absolute. Ongoing Drug & Alcohol testing and the ability to meet site inductions will be a requirement of working on site.
