The Opportunity This is a new opportunity to develop your analytical skills and strategic expertise whilst gaining exposure to the Climate Opportunities, Business Development, and Governance, Risk & Assurance teams.
The skills built across these teams will position you well to pursue the many exciting opportunities across WesCEF in future years.
You will commence in the Climate Opportunities team, with the view to rotating across the teams over a period of four to six years before progressing to broader commercial and/or leadership roles.
Initially, as part of the dynamic Climate Opportunities team and reporting to the Manager Climate Opportunities, support achievement of our climate commitments by providing commercial and analytical support to emission reduction projects, emissions estimation and forecasting, and improve our climate disclosures.
You will apply a growth mindset in this fast-evolving space and monitor market trends to identify best practice corporate sustainability behaviors and decarbonisation or step-out growth opportunities.
Over the course of your tenure in these roles, you will support the Division to achieve its business strategies and growth objectives.
You will have the opportunity to:
Contribute to key projects and provide advice and assistance with the identification, evaluation, and execution of new sustaining and growth projects.Conduct research and analysis and produce reports as required by senior management to assist in financial and commercial decisions.Develop and use models to facilitate financial planning and evaluation.Provide advice to general and senior management on commercial matters.Provide support to negotiations on acquisitions, divestments, and major supply and contract arrangements.About the Teams Climate Opportunities team has been leading the effort to realise our ambition of having net zero emissions by 2050, with a 30% reduction in emissions by 2030.
The Climate Opportunities team aims to create value through climate-positive action by supporting the business units to achieve WesCEF's targets, engaging externally, creating opportunities for climate-positive growth, and fostering a climate-focused culture.
The Business Development leads our major strategic projects including mergers and acquisitions and the corporate planning process.
The team is instrumental in evaluating new growth opportunities for WesCEF.
The Governance, Risk & Assurance team provides advice and guidance on the areas of enterprise risk management, governance, compliance, assurance, and information management.
