Reporting to the Superintendent Data & Integration Platforms, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining data pipelines supporting the Data Platform team in delivering efficient and reliable flow of data according to the priority and requirements of Roy Hill.You will strive to understand various operational domains and understand how technology can support the work of the business, along with helping to develop ideas for business process improvement.Duties:Collaborate with end users and business analysts to ensure data pipelines are developed to meet requirements.Proactively engage key decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals.Assist in workshops, interviews, and data analysis to contribute to business & functional requirements collection.Assist in creating unit test scripts as well as collaborating with end users for UATMaintain accurate documentation and training material related to the data platform.Provide peer review at design and development stages to assist in quality assuranceSkills and Experience:Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Management, Information Technology or Engineering, or equivalent experience.Moderate experience as a data engineer or as an advanced level data analystModerate experience in data modelling specifically Kimball methodsExperience with data visualisation tools preferably Power BIPerth ROC Facilities:Free on-site parking at remote operational centre (ROC)Modern spacious office with break-out facilitiesIn-house café providing variety of hot & cold food options and barista coffeeFlexi Leave available to all Perth based office staffFlexible working hours outside of core business hoursActive social club with community events and activities for employeesLifestyle, Learning and Recreation initiative which provide events for your familyAbout the Company:Roy Hill is a world class mining company, leading the way through innovative, integrated mining rail and port operations, to export iron ore safely and efficiently from West Australia's Pilbara region.We are a company where people matter.
