InfluenceMap is a world-renowned non-profit think tank working on cutting-edge climate and sustainability issues. We are best known for the LobbyMap platform, which analyses corporate policy engagement activities on climate change and biodiversity loss. Our work has been featured in the media globally, used by hundreds of investors, and informed numerous climate campaigns. Other workstreams are the FinanceMap platform - assessing the climate credentials of the financial sector, and the Carbon Majors platform – which tracks emissions from the worlds' largest polluters. We are seeking an Australia-based Analyst to conduct research on Indonesian companies and industry associations, based on our LobbyMap methodology, which assesses corporate climate and nature related policy engagement. Our office is in Canberra, but we will accept applications for remote-working in different parts of the country. Full training in our research methods and how to effectively communicate our results will be provided. Our approach is highly data-orientated and involves accuracy, consistency and great attention to detail. Following your training and fully grasping our assessment methodologies and organisational style/processes, you will have the opportunity to engage with and communicate our work to key stakeholders (investors, civil society groups, the media, companies) in Indonesia and the wider APAC region, and make a real impact on the trajectory of the climate and nature agendas.
RequirementsTo be successful in this role at InfluenceMap, you should have:
Native Bahasa Indonesia reading, writing and speaking skills
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
Outstanding analytical and data analysis skills, with a very strong attention to detail
Ability to communicate complex issues and data-driven analysis concisely and convincingly
IT and software skills across a range of common applications
Right to work in Australia
