Currently, North Canberra Hospital is a level 4 facility that offers a variety of acute and sub-acute services, including community-based care, to residents of northern Canberra and Southern NSW. The hospital has 270 beds and operates a 24-hour Emergency Department. Inpatient services encompass general medicine, surgery, maternity, mental health, and critical care.
About The Role: As an Anaesthetic Nurse, you will:
Assist anaesthetists in administering various types of anaesthesia, including general, regional, and local anaesthesia. Recognise intraoperative complications or changes in patient's condition and respond appropriately.Collaborate with the anaesthetic and surgical team to ensure that all required equipment and supplies are checked for availability, functionality, and cleanliness/sterility and are suitable for use for prescribed anaesthetic procedures.Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide exceptional care.Uphold national standards and guidelines while ensuring the highest level of care.What We're Looking For: Qualifications: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation AgencyANAMAC: for 186 visa sponsorshipExperience: Proven experience in a critical care setting, with strong clinical skills and knowledge.Commitment to Professional Development: A desire to engage in ongoing education and training.How to Apply: If you're ready to take your career to the next level and make a difference in the lives of patients, we want to hear from you!
