Location: Amoowigamig 715 Main Street
Background: The Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre is currently seeking an individual for the position of Amoowigamig Site Team Lead.
The successful candidate will manage and supervise the Site team, supporting residents accessing the washroom facility.
Responsibilities include resource referrals, distribution of harm reduction supplies, crisis management, and community relationship building, all in accordance with the Centre's philosophy and policy standards.
Qualifications: Knowledgeable with the Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre's model of practice, vision, mission, and values.Grade 12, with related experience working with individuals living unsheltered.Supports Indigenous values; has knowledge of Indigenous cultures and community issues.Strong understanding of community capacity building models of practice.Demonstrates interpersonal skills in developing effective working relationships with individuals living unsheltered and the service community.Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances require.Understands the issues facing individuals at risk and the impact of trauma.Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.Proficient in managing financial and written reporting.Strong organizational skills and ability to set and meet deadlines.Ability to interact sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally.Experience in developing and maintaining effective working relationships with strong motivational and leadership skills.Maintain a high level of independence, self-initiative, and confidentiality.Subject to Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Registry, and Prior Contact Checks.Valid First Aid / CPR Certification.Valid Class 5 driver's license and access to a vehicle.Must be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.All letters of interest and resumes must be received no later than January 16, 2025, at 4:00 pm.
