The candidate will need experience in winning work (contractor side) or procuring contractors (client or consultancy side) on onshore wind and battery projects.
Our client is a well-established and market-leading national civil contractor, looking for an experienced and dedicated Pre-Construction Manager/Director or Business Development Manager/Director to join their growing business in Melbourne.
Our client provides services across various industry sectors such as building construction, industrial, mining, resources, transport infrastructure, and environmental. You will be responsible for contributing to the successful delivery of challenging projects.
Reporting to the Executive Team and initially a Divisional Head, you will be responsible for winning work in the onshore wind and battery sector. You will be supported by an existing team and may grow that team as necessary. Projects will range in value from smaller up to $250m.
The candidate must have experience in new battery projects and new onshore wind projects. If you come from a contractor background, you will need to have worked in a work winning and business development capacity to secure these projects. If coming from the client or consultancy side, you will need to have procured contractors to deliver these projects.
Years of Experience: 7 to 15 years +
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Business development Working on tenders Coordination of bids Tender interviews Negotiation of contracts Networking Recruitment and mentoring of teams Qualifications and Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or similar 10+ years' management experience on wind and battery construction projects Project management qualifications will be advantageous Proven understanding of construction with a hands-on approach Proven ability to effectively lead and delegate Effective problem-solving abilities Ability to resolve conflict and manage client expectations High level of organisation and time management skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills If you have the skills and experience we are looking for, click on "Apply" to submit your resume.
