Join Team Amex and let's lead the way together. American Express Global Merchant Network Services (GMNS) oversees all aspects of merchant relationships. GMNS Australia is the largest contributor of active locations in force (ALIF) in the region and has the potential for significant growth.
To support this vision, the newly established Business Enablement team within GMNS serves as the first line of support and defense ensuring both business protection and growth.
Core responsibilities: Coordinate with internal and external auditors, completing auditor's request and remediation along with regulator change implementation. Identify process improvement opportunities and implement solutions to protect business. Establish systems and procedures to enforce robust anti-money laundering (AML)/know your business (KYC) procedures. Ensure risk, compliance, and audit policies are adhered to across the onboarding process. Align across GMNS businesses with any nuances, including compliance, risk, marketing, operational excellence, and operations teams. Identify, own, and drive operation risk events (OREs) to resolution and timely implementation of regulatory changes. Demonstrate process and project management skills with the ability to seamlessly lead multiple projects at once, consistently meeting deadlines. Show strong commitment to reaching goals, using performance metrics to track progress. Navigate sophisticated transitions smoothly and engage and support teams through the change process. Exhibit strategic, analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Demonstrate collaboration, communication, and influencing ability, with the skills to establish successful business relationships with colleagues across all business levels. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in compliance-related projects is desirable. Good Excel, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint skills.
