Your responsibilities will include: The role: We are seeking dedicated engineers to ensure aircraft and associated components are airworthy in accordance with prescribed aviation standards.
Responsible for the work they perform and are required to endorse all maintenance and General Aviation Task (if required) completed in the aircraft continuing airworthiness record system and supporting Maintenance Managers in the execution of maintenance and aviation related duties by providing Task Sign-off and Certification of Maintenance within the scope of their authorisation.
Your responsibilities will include: Perform Task Sign-off of Maintenance within the scope of authorisation, Supervising and mentoring other trades, Ability to Analyse and assess to determine actions must not proceed past any point in the task where an Error Capture (EC) or Supervisor inspection is required, Monitor and Inform chain of command when they, or other personnel, are subject to psychological (state-of-mind related) or physiological (physical-related) factors that adversely, or may adversely, impair their ability to perform maintenance or General Aviation task, Monitor and only use approved and serviceable tools, ground equipment, test equipment and materials, Maintain Adherence to tool control procedures in accordance with AFCAMAN, Book IV, Chapter 8 – Tool Control and local procedures, Ensuring that authorised data are used, and that authorised data is complete, correct, applicable, approved and adequate for the task; in close proximity to the aircraft or component being maintained; and in good condition Monitor and ensure all serviceability criteria for components and parts are met in accordance with the relevant authorised data before fitment Analyse and evaluate the adequacy and efficiency of maintenance activities and proposing changes as required Support preparing and submitting defective or surplus components and material for return to stores Undertake completion and submission of associated documentation for support equipment where applicable Maintaining a clean and tidy work area Participate in the PBED process Perform a work area examination during and on completion of all maintenance Monitor and ensure all follow-on maintenance requirements have been identified and documented.
About you: Essential requirements: Ability to obtain and maintain Australian Defence Security Clearance (visit AGSVA website for more information about Security Clearances) Good working knowledge and understanding of the requirements of DASR's Sound understanding of Plan, Brief, Execute, Debrief (PBED) principles Good understanding of the effects of Human Factors in Maintenance Cert IV Aeroskills Maintenance including rotary wing modules Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
