Full time AMCOR Excavations is a civil earthworks company, primarily contracted to construct lease pads and access roads within the gas sector.
Amcor Excavations is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel/Plant Mechanic to join us for major earthworks projects primarily in the Western Downs Area around Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles, Wandoan, and Surat.

Work within AMCOR Excavations rules and regulations at all times.
Liaise with direct managers and supervisors daily.
Thoroughly diagnose and repair faults.
Service and maintain equipment of plant and truck fleet.
Work to tight schedules while maintaining the highest standards.
Adopt and continue with Lean practices to ensure quality and cost efficiency with all repairs and maintenance.
Assist with planning and maintaining service schedules.
Coordinate with suppliers to source parts based on quality and best price.
Maintain company tools and equipment.
Ownership of major repairs, working efficiently while maintaining a clean and safe environment.
Minimum Requirements: Fully qualified with at least 2 years' experience as a qualified Plant or Heavy Diesel Mechanic.
Sound knowledge of drivetrain, brakes, and suspension.
Sound knowledge of plant equipment.
Basic auto electrical knowledge.
Competent with computers and digital diagnostics.
Outstanding work ethic and commitment to getting the job done.
Strong commitment to Work Health and Safety.
Approachable with excellent people management skills.
Professional, confident, and self-assured with the ability to demonstrate flexibility and apply learnings to improve workshop processes.
A team player who is action-focused and result-oriented, who quickly comes up to speed on repairs and priority breakdowns.
Ability to problem solve and engage peers to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Strong communication skills with proven ability to communicate effectively with a range of individuals.
Experience in working in a high-performance team.
Ability to work flexible hours.
