Competitive salary + Performance Bonuses Profit sharing opportunity A brand new, dynamic and innovative freight forwarding and customs brokerage company is seeking a highly motivated and industry experienced Manager to lead our operations in Adelaide. As a new venture, we are looking for a visionary individual who can establish our business from the ground up and create a sustainable, efficient, and profitable operation.
Given your experience and knowledge in the industry, you will effectively and efficiently manage the establishment of the company, including obtaining necessary licenses, permits, and registrations and implementing the required systems, processes and procedures to ensure safe and smooth operations from day one.
You will also assist to recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of freight forwarders, customs and administrative staff as we grow.
You will have well developed existing relationships with potential clients, including importers, exporters, and logistics companies and utilise your relationships to build the business.
Your high performing nature will drive revenue growth and profitability through effective pricing strategies, cost management, and operational efficiency and ensure strict adherence to all relevant customs regulations, trade agreements, and industry standards.
Having a strong interest in continuous improvement you will stay updated on industry trends and explore opportunities for innovation and technological advancements.
A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a related field is preferred but experience goes further and a minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding and customs brokerage, with a proven track record of success is essential.
A strong knowledge of customs regulations, trade agreements, and international shipping practices.
Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills is also a must.
You will need strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams, proficiency in relevant software applications (e.g., customs clearance software, freight management systems) and a proactive and entrepreneurial mindset in order to win this exciting new role and make it your own.
