About the RoleAs a Staff Specialist in Anaesthetics, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality healthcare and driving the development of innovative clinical models of care. This position involves managing anaesthetic services across surgical specialties, supervising medical staff, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities include: Clinical Leadership: Provide high-quality care in adult and obstetric anaesthesia across surgical specialties.Supervision: Oversee the clinical activities of registrars, senior medical officers, and junior doctors.Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with the Emergency, Obstetrics, and High Dependency Unit teams to ensure integrated patient care.Education and Development: Mentor and teach medical trainees, fostering professional growth and learning.Quality and Safety: Participate in audits, incident reviews, and evidence-based policy development to uphold the highest standards of patient care.Service Planning: Contribute to operational and strategic planning for anaesthetic services.About YouYou are a collaborative and strategic specialist with extensive experience in anaesthetics, particularly in complex, high-volume environments. You thrive on engaging with diverse teams, driving clinical excellence, and mentoring the next generation of medical professionals.
To excel in this role, you will have:
