About iMH iMH represents a pioneering approach in integrated mental health, specializing in combining inpatient and out-of-hospital care to optimize shorter stay mental health admissions. This innovative service model is designed to enhance accessibility to mental health treatment across Australia, aiming to prevent unnecessary hospitalizations and support long-term recovery.
In 2023, iMH launched its flagship facility, Deakin Private Hospital, marking the beginning of its expansion. Currently, iMH's portfolio includes private hospitals in Canberra and Sydney, with plans to grow across major Australian cities and key regional locations.
iMH hospitals are based on a multidisciplinary team approach. We employ nurses, psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists and a range of diversional therapists including music and art therapists, exercise physiologists, and individual staff with training in complementary therapies.
About the Role The CEO of iMH will be responsible for steering the organisation through a phase of significant expansion and operational enhancement. This role is central to iMH's mission to deliver exceptional mental health care and to ensuring the sustainability and success of its service offerings.
As the CEO, you will be responsible for driving operational excellence across a complex, multi-site organisation. Your leadership will ensure that iMH continues to set benchmarks in mental health care, adapting to dynamic healthcare environments and evolving patient needs with agility and foresight.
The CEO will oversee both clinical and non-clinical operations, ensuring that all aspects of care delivery are efficient, effective, and patient-centred. This includes developing and implementing strategies that enhance service delivery, optimise resource use, and maintain high standards of care across all iMH facilities.
About You As our ideal candidate, you bring a robust blend of leadership and experience to drive innovative health care models, particularly in mental health. You are known for:
Strong business and commercial acumen, with the ability to apply strategic thinking to real-world scenarios. Excellence in managing relationships, demonstrating a capacity to build and maintain strong partnerships across various stakeholders. Being results-driven and task-focused, with a keen sense of timeliness and a proven ability to manage projects effectively. Exceptional communication skills, capable of conveying complex information compellingly and persuasively to diverse audiences. A strong team player who values collaboration and has a meticulous attention to detail. Must Have: A minimum of 5 years of relevant executive experience within the health industry, preferably in mental health. Demonstrated experience in successfully introducing new models of care, ideally short stay and community-based, in both private and public hospital settings. Proven expertise in leading complex projects within a healthcare environment. Experience in developing and implementing effective corporate governance practices within a hospital environment. Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex technical information and leveraging data analytics where necessary.
