Aluglass Australia is seeking a qualified and experienced full-time Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team in Darwin NT. This role would suit applicants with good attention to detail and a safety-focused approach to work.
Responsibilities: Read, interpret and evaluate existing designs to complete packages, installation checklists, illustrations, machine part lists and specifications of production equipment. Installing and performing diagnostic tests on mechanical systems. Plan, produce, and assemble new or changed mechanical parts for products, such as industrial machinery or equipment tools and systems. Ensuring the installation work is within specifications and regulations by choosing the proper tools and equipment. Analyzing and calculating corrections for equipment installation practices to maximize efficiency, enhance installation schedules and reduce costs. Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment breakdowns. Troubleshooting mechanical malfunctions and breakdowns, as well as performing repairs. Documenting processes and maintaining mechanical service records. Supervising the machine inspection. Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings. Training co-workers on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment. Estimating material costs, labor costs, equipment life, machine requirements, and plant space. Qualifications: To be successful in the role you will need to have:
Extensive knowledge and current skills in the manufacturing industry. Attention to detail. Strong work ethic. Able to take direction and work unsupervised. Team player that can also work autonomously. What we offer: Annual Salary: $80,000 to $85,000 for 38 hours per week, plus superannuation.
