We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Alternate Underground Mine Manager to join the team.The Alternate Underground Mine Manager will support the Underground Mine Manager in overseeing the safe and efficient operation of their underground gold mine. This role is pivotal in ensuring that production targets are met while maintaining the highest standards of safety, environmental compliance, and operational excellence.The role:Assist the Underground Mine Manager in daily operations, ensuring adherence to all safety regulations and company policiesOversee and coordinate underground mining activities to achieve production targetsImplement and monitor mining plans, schedules, and budgetsManage and lead a team of mining professionals, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvementEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation and mining regulationsCollaborate with other departments to optimize resource use and improve overall mine performanceIdentify and address any operational issues promptly to minimize downtimeParticipate in the development and implementation of training programs for mine staff.The requirements:Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related fieldA minimum of 7 years of experience in underground mining, with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory roleProven track record in managing underground mining operations, preferably in goldComprehensive knowledge of mining regulations and safety standards in AustraliaStrong leadership and communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and adapt to changing conditions.The rewards:Competitive salary and benefits packageOpportunities for professional development and career advancementA supportive and collaborative work environmentThe chance to work with a dedicated team in a thriving industry.If you would like a confidential discussion about this role or to discuss your next career move, please submit your resume by clicking the apply button or contact Nicola Morrison on .
