What you can expect in a day in the role: The Alteration Attendant is an essential part of our cleaning and property services team, assisting staff with well-fitted and comfortable uniforms.
Day-to-day, you will be responsible for: Altering staff uniforms, improving comfort and fit, including shortening pants/legs, taking in and letting out seams.Modifying and repairing uniforms, including tapering pant legs, removing pockets, performing repairs, replacing zippers, and buttons.Assisting with and performing uniform fittings.Maintaining the care and upkeep of sewing machines.Supporting laundry tasks when needed.What you'll bring to the role: Strong knowledge of fabrics, clothing design, and construction.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.Expert or highly experienced sewing skills.Strong attention to detail.The ability to communicate effectively and graciously.An appointee to this role may be subject to pre-employment and ongoing screening checks.
