Are you a motivated and experienced Statutory Planner looking for your next move in your career? We are looking for a Statutory Planner to join our dynamic Statutory Planning team to provide a customer focused and efficient planning service to our community. You will have responsibility for a diverse range of statutory planning applications and provide consistent professional advice on planning matters to stakeholders, prepare submissions and represent Council at VACT and contribute to the continuous improvement of statutory planning processes and procedures.

You will be responsible for:
Providing quality and professional planning advice and communications to customers in a timely manner to engender public confidence in the statutory planning process Assessing, preparing and making recommendations on your allocated planning applications Preparing submissions and representing Council at the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal Contributing to the continuous improvement of statutory planning processes and procedures. You will have: Tertiary qualification in town planning (degree or diploma) Knowledge and ability to interpret planning schemes, planning and related legislation, regulation, and policies Ability to research, analyse, assess and determine planning permit and related applications Developing analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills. Good communication skills, with foundational stakeholder engagement and developing conflict resolution skills. Ability to manage time, set priorities and implement your workplan. Apply now Permanent full-time position, based in Bright is preferred but for the right candidate hybrid work arrangements may be negotiated. Salary Band 5 classification from $73,785 - $84,228 or Band 6 classification from $87,358 - $95,412, depending on experience.
