Responsibilities Monitor the progress of the Teacher Education Student (TES) while they are working at a school to fulfil their professional experience course requirements. Arrange a visit to the school to discuss the TES's progress with the TES and their Mentor Teacher(s). Observe at least one lesson taught by the Teacher Education Student, complete a lesson evaluation form (to be given to the TES) and debrief afterwards. Act on any matters of concern to the Teacher Education Student or the host school. Clarify issues relating to Alphacrucis University College assessments to be completed during the Professional Experience. Required Skills and Proficiencies Practicing Christian with active Church involvement Current NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) Completion of Bachelors or Masters degree in Teaching Previous experience in a teaching position at a school or early childhood education center and previous experience supervising teachers in schools and/or early learning centres Understanding of the mission of vocational and higher education in Christian schools and/or early learning centres. Knowledge of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and/or the ACECQA National Quality Standards. Knowledge of TPA requirements is desirable but not essential. Proven leadership, people and communication skills. Customer service focused: committed to providing exceptional customer service across all channels – written, phone and face to face. Communication: the ability to communicate clearly and concisely, varying communication style depending upon the audience. Attention to detail: excellent attention to detail and written skills when communicating with others, both internally and externally. Commerciality: ability to apply knowledge in a practical, commercial manner. Teamwork: willingness to assist and support others as required and get on with team members. Time management/organisation: accomplish objectives effectively within time frame given and carry out administrative duties within portfolio in an efficient and timely manner. Professional approach.
