About the role
We are looking for a Business Operations Manager to join our team based at our Eagle Farm location.
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of 5 locations including management of key Branch staff.
This is a very high-paced and fluid environment; you will enjoy working at a quick pace and love adding value to the business through strategic business decisions.

The key components are ensuring the overall business is operating efficiently and our core values are adhered to.
As we are a 7-day-a-week operation, we would expect you to fully understand the expectations this involves.

The successful candidate will be rewarded commensurate with knowledge, skills, experience, and performance plus Superannuation.

Your role and responsibilities:
Perform all duties in line with the Alpha Values of Accountability, Honesty, Loyalty, Respect & Trust.
Manage, lead, and develop a team of staff to the highest levels of performance and job satisfaction by developing their skills, knowledge, and behaviours.
Adhere to all legislative requirements and industry awards, pertaining to performance management, contractual, award rates, vehicle rental agreements etc., while following company policy and procedures.
Undertake recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and training activities.
Ensure branch rostering is effective to meet demand, controlling costs (P&L), increasing sales, meeting targets, and KPI's.
Assist with payroll administration, ensuring compliance while optimizing labour costs.
Ensure compliance and workplace health & safety and operational risks and incidents are reported and managed effectively in accordance with policies and procedures.
Ensure fleet integrity, including roadworthiness, fleet check accuracy, managing damage control, and general maintenance tasks are completed.
Provide flexibility to assist across locations where required.

About you
You will be able to demonstrate:
Extensive experience leading and managing high performing and accountable teams within a Car Rental, Fleet, Tourism, Retail or Customer service and sales environment including remote teams and achieving financial and operational targets.
Proven ability to drive process improvements and implement solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maximize profitability.
Excellent people management and communication skills.
Effective problem solving and decision-making skills.
Understanding of relevant industry awards and legislative requirements.
Safety, Compliance, Risk, and Issue management experience.
Growth mindset, strong emotional intelligence, and must be able to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude and resilience.
Ability to multitask, as well as be highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Experience in dealing with customer issues and conflict resolution.
Willingness to get involved in the business at all levels while demonstrating our company values and leading by example.
