Welcome to Ngaanyatjarra Lands, a vibrant tapestry of culture and community nestled within the vast beauty of the Australian desert. Home to approximately 2000 Yarnangu (Ngaanyatjarra people) across 11 unique communities, our council is dedicated to preserving and celebrating our rich heritage spanning over 10,000 years and 250,000 square kilometres. 
Established in 1981, the Ngaanyatjarra Council Group represents the interests of the Ngaanyatjarra People across the 11 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. Employing in excess of 450 people, NCG provides a wide range of services, including health, utilities, construction, employment, community development, shops, roadhouses, art centres and land services. It is one of the largest and most successful Indigenous organisations in the country.

The Opportunity:
As a Allocator at Ngaanyatjarra Council Group , you will be the welcoming face of our organisation, serving as the first point of contact for clients, visitors, and internal stakeholders. Your role will be essential in creating a professional and positive impression that reflects our commitment to exceptional service.
In this full-time position, based in the heart of Perth CBD commencing immediately and within walking distance from the train station, you will manage a variety of tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of our office. You will handle high-volume travel bookings with precision, ensuring all arrangements are made efficiently and accurately.
In this role you will be responsible for:
Develop and maintain short-term and long-term roster across Ngaanyatjarra. Book accommodations within the communities for staff and stakeholders. Collaborate with various departments to understand staffing needs and adjust roster allocations accordingly.Analyze data to forecast demand and adjust plans to meet operational requirements.Monitor and adjust schedules in real-time to address changes in demand or resource availability.Communicate effectively with team members and management to ensure alignment and address any allocation challenges.Prepare and present reports on allocation efficiency and recommendations for improvement.Utilize scheduling software and tools to streamline the allocation process.Requirements: Proven experience in scheduling, rostering, or planning, preferably in a fast-paced environment.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.Excellent organizational and time-management skills.Proficient in scheduling/Rostering software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).Experience booking accommodation and/or flightsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members.Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.A proactive approach to problem-solving and adaptability to changing demands.What We Offer: • Purpose-Driven Environment: Experience a work culture that prioritises purpose and provides a deep sense of fulfilment, aligning with values that matter to you.
