We are excited to announce an opportunity to join our dynamic team at Don Watson Transport as a Nightshift Allocator.
Based at our Melbourne site in Derrimut, you will work alongside a friendly and experienced Transport Operations team.

This is a permanent full-time role, working night shift 8:30pm to 7:30am Monday to Friday.
Working with the Operational Management Team your main tasks will be:
Efficiently execute the operational plan for night shift fleet
Monitor, plan, allocate & coordinate the distribution of jobs to night shift drivers
Liaise with clients, contractors and company drivers
Ensure clients are kept informed of any delays
Communicate departure and arrival times with drivers
Ensure Chain of Responsibility standards are maintained
Ensure drivers conduct is in line with company policies and procedures
Assist with reporting, investigation and close out of any safety and/or compliance incidents or near miss events
Monitor drivers, fridge temperatures, and other compliance requirements through GPS Tracking
Monitor and adjust change over points
Receive inbound calls and provide excellent customer service
What you will bring:
Demonstrated experience as an Allocator or similar
Strong ability to troubleshoot issues
Ability to engage and manage a wide range of stakeholders
Attention to detail with solid customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with fatigue, speed, mass, and maintenance requirements
The ability to multitask and work in a high volume environment
Proficiency in Microsoft office suite
