As an Allocator, you will play a vital role within our business to meet the expectations of our customers by maximising efficiency and utilisation of our fleet of transport vehicles.This is a full-time, permanent role working Monday to Friday, commencing at either 5:30am or 6:30am, with varying finish times to ensure office coverage. Some Saturdays are also part of the schedule.This role receives an attractive hourly rate with the opportunity to work paid overtime.Previous Allocator experience is not essential as the successful applicant will receive training in all aspects of the role.ResponsibilitiesUse software packages to manage COR, Safety Regulations, rostering, and truck movementsProvide customer service to our concrete plants and external customersAllocation of concrete loads ensuring that material is scheduled and delivered in accordance with COR and safety regulationsAssist the customer service team as requiredAssist with related administrative dutiesHave a strong commitment to safety and continuous improvement valuesWhat you will need to succeedDemonstrated ability to prioritise work effectively in an environment of changeExcellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to build rapport with diverse customersSound geographical knowledge of metropolitan and surrounding suburbs of SydneyCompetent when working with computers and various software packages (training provided)Desired but not essential: Experience in planning/scheduling within the transport industryOur businessHy-Tec is a leading supplier of premixed concrete, aggregates, and sands to the commercial, industrial, civil, and residential construction sectors.
