What does the job look like?As an Allocator, you will play an essential role in our Intermodal team based at Acacia Ridge, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently and on time.
This position offers the possibility of working at off-site customer locations as needed.
With your keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to multitask, you will assist our team by handling administrative tasks, managing allocations, monitoring driver fatigue, and analysing run sheets.
We are currently offering a 6 am to 2 pm role, Monday to Friday, with the potential for overtime when required.
Start times for this position may vary and are flexible.
Key areas:
Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders, providing clear instructions and building positive relationshipsMaintain accurate documentation and records related to manifests, delivery schedules and run sheetsMaintaining regular contact with our customer to keep them updated and well-informed about their scheduled deliveries or changes that will impact themMonitoring service schedules for fleet & other administrative tasksGeneral administrative tasks that support the wider teamAre you the one?Previous experience in transport/allocating/coordinating rolesExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members, drivers and customersStrong geographical knowledge of the Brisbane metro area will be highly regarded, however not essentialHighly organized with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a very high-pressure environmentHighly proficient computer skills and ability to pick things up quicklyAt Linfox, we are passionate about creating an inclusive workplace where people can perform at their best.
