The Department of Education is looking for skilled and driven practitioners to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) teams in supporting schools to address the barriers that impact on student(s) access, preparation, and progress to achieving their educational goals and development potential.

You'll work with a diverse group of people who share a common goal, and you will be well supported to use your professional skills and knowledge to provide specialised support at the individual, group, school, and area level.
As part of an Area based multi-disciplinary health, wellbeing, and inclusion team, you will work to help build the capability of schools to support student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing.
The Inner Gippsland SSS team is made up of Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Team Leader and Branch Manager.
SSS work collaboratively with schools and an Area Health Wellbeing and Inclusion Workforce (HWIW) to support student emotional health and wellbeing.
As a member of this team, you will have access to a car to travel to various school locations (subject to availability), a laptop, an iPhone as well as access to an extensive assessment and resource library.

Required:The successful applicant will possess a graduate or post-graduate qualification in Psychology or Social Work, be eligible for membership of Australian Association of Social Work (AASW), or member of APRA depending on discipline and possess a current Australian Drivers' Licence and Working with Children Check.
