An exciting opportunity exists for an Allied Health Specialist – Social Worker/Psychologist to join the Inner Gippsland Student Support Services (SSS) team.
The SSS Allied Health Specialist will hold a graduate or post-graduate qualification in Psychology or Social Work, developing strategies that address barriers to education for children and young people within an educational context.
Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, the SSS Allied Health Professional will provide comprehensive discipline services to schools to support student engagement and learning and provide high-level professional advice to principals and school networks that strongly influence practice in local area schools.

Location: Inner Gippsland (based at Warragul Office)

The successful applicant will possess a graduate or post-graduate qualification in Psychology or Social Work, be eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW), or a member of APRA depending on discipline, and possess a current Australian Drivers' Licence and Working with Children Check.
The Inner Gippsland SSS team is made up of Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Social Workers, Team Leader, and Branch Manager.
SSS works collaboratively with schools and an Area Health Wellbeing and Inclusion Workforce (HWIW) to support student emotional health and wellbeing.
As a member of this team, you will have access to a car to travel to various school locations (subject to availability), a laptop, an iPhone, as well as access to an extensive assessment and resource library.
