About the OpportunityPosition: Allied Health Manager – Rural Services
Vacancy: Permanent full-time
Location: Allied Health Services Division, Townsville Hospital and Health Service
Provide innovative and effective strategic leadership and management of four medium-sized multidisciplinary rural Allied Health teams delivering high-quality, patient-focused Allied Health services in acute, community, and outreach settings. This includes:
Operational management of THHS multidisciplinary rural Allied Health teams.Management of financial, asset, and human resources across THHS rural allied health services.Service evaluation and strategic planning for the rural allied health workforce to support the delivery of safe, effective, and sustainable rural allied health services for the THHS.Management of quality improvement, risk mitigation, and service enhancement activities across four rural allied health services.Your contributions will be valued and impactful.

RequirementsThe successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree qualification in a relevant Allied Health discipline from a recognised accredited tertiary institution from one of the following disciplines: Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Social Work, Speech Pathology, Pharmacy, Medical Imaging, and Dietetics.Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.While not mandatory, possession of postgraduate qualifications in health services management or postgraduate related clinical or business development is highly desirable.This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this type of vehicle is required.Travel by light aircraft and/or road within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service may be necessary to fulfil the requirements of the role.This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role.Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
