The services provided range from prevention and treatment to recovery, maintenance and harm minimisation.
Consumer and carer participation is encouraged in all aspects of service planning and delivery.
The Division works in partnership with consumers, carers and a range of government and non-government service providers to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients.The Division delivers services at a number of locations, including hospital inpatient and outpatient settings, community health centres, detention centres, and other community settings including peoples' homes.The Allied Health Manager provides operational leadership and oversees the daily operations of the Adult Mental Health Unit (AMHU), 12B and Mental Health Short Stay Unit (MHSSU) Allied Health teams in line with service objectives, established procedures and sound governance processes.The Allied Health Manager manages human resources, finances, reporting, and quality and safety compliance.
The Allied Health Manager is required to undertake professional development and supervision, participate in quality initiatives and contribute to the multidisciplinary team processes.The Allied Health Manager will collaborate with the Allied Health Clinical Lead and the multidisciplinary allied health staff, psychiatry and nursing staff to continually improve the quality of the recovery focused therapeutic programs.Please note prior to commencement successful candidates will be required to:Comply with Canberra Health Services Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy.Comply with CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.Canberra Health Services (CHS) is focussed on the delivery of high quality, effective, person centred care.CHS is committed to workforce diversity and to creating an inclusive workplace.
