About the Role:
The Allied Health Coordinator is responsible for supporting the delivery of services within the Health Promotion team.
This role works as part of a multidisciplinary team of dieticians, exercise physiologists and allied health students to assess client health needs and facilitate access to appropriate and relevant nutrition and physical activity services, including completing individual health assessments and health coaching activities under the clinical supervision/oversight of senior team members as required.
Experience Requirements:
Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering group exercise and nutrition programs.
Experience in completing individual health assessments and health coaching activities.
Experience in providing education about physical activity and/or nutrition to groups or individuals.
Experience in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and the ability to provide culturally appropriate support.
Experience using a client management system/software.
Qualification and Other Requirements:
Drivers Licence.
Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC).
Tertiary allied health qualifications such as Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and/or Allied Health Assistant with relevant professional registration.
