As a result, we have a supervision schedule each week which includes daily 1:1 supervision as well as group supervision, case conferences, and opportunities to connect with professionals from different disciplines.
Team members also receive an annual PD budget and paid study leave.
We also have set administration time in your diary so you have time to perform all aspects of your role and to connect with the other team members.About the RoleAs a Level 1 Allied Health Assistant, you will work closely with your senior clinician to support the delivery of therapy services.
You'll help create a positive and engaging experience for children while assisting in implementing therapy plans under the direct supervision of your senior clinician.We have part-time roles available for AHA Speech Pathology on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays 9:00-5:00.
We have a full-time role available for an AHA who would like experience across Speech Pathology and Occupational Therapy disciplines (Monday-Friday).Key ResponsibilitiesSupport the senior clinician in delivering therapy sessions and activities under supervision.Prepare therapy materials, resources, and equipment for sessions.Assist with the setup and cleanup of therapy spaces.Greet clients at the time of their session.Engage with children during therapy to encourage participation and progress.Document session notes and observations accurately and promptly.Provide feedback to therapists regarding the child's engagement and outcomes.Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming therapy environment.Provide admin assistance to clinicians.Attend supervision sessions, team meetings, and case conferences.When appropriate, you may perform level 2 duties from time-to-time (e.g., when the clinician is on leave and the client is determined to be suitable to Level 2 AHA).About YouYou are enthusiastic, compassionate, and enjoy working with children.
You're eager to learn and contribute to a team that values collaboration and excellence in client care.Skills & QualificationsCertificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (or working towards) and/or studying Speech Pathology / an allied health profession.Previous experience working with children is desirable.An understanding of Autism, Intellectual Disability, and other developmental disabilities.NDIS Worker Screener.Working with Children Check.Membership with Allied Health Assistants' National Association (or be willing to apply if you do not have current membership).Ability to follow instructions and work under the supervision of qualified Speech Pathologists.Strong organisational and time-management abilities.How to ApplyTell us why you think you'll shine with us!If you're ready to take the first step in your career in paediatric healthcare, we'd love to hear from you!
