Allied Health Assistant / Personal TrainerSynchronistic Health & Wellbeing Ballarat, Victoria, AustraliaJob Description: Allied Health Assistant/Personal TrainerPosition OverviewWe are seeking a motivated and compassionate Allied Health Assistant/Personal Trainer to join our multidisciplinary team.
The successful candidate will work closely with exercise physiologists, clinical myotherapists, and other healthcare professionals to support clients in their rehabilitation journeys.
This role involves assisting in the design and implementation of exercise programs, providing personalized training sessions, and contributing to the overall well-being of our clients.Key ResponsibilitiesExercise Rehabilitation: Assist in the delivery of exercise rehabilitation programs tailored to the needs of clients with chronic conditions, injuries, and other specific health concerns.Personal Training: Conduct one-on-one and group training sessions, focusing on safe and effective exercise techniques to promote physical health and well-being.Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with a team of holistic practitioners, including exercise physiologists and clinical myotherapists, to ensure a comprehensive approach to client care.Program Development: Support the development and adaptation of individualized exercise plans based on client assessments and progress.Client Education: Educate clients on the importance of exercise, proper technique, and lifestyle modifications to enhance their rehabilitation and overall health.Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client sessions, progress, and any relevant observations.Compliance: Adhere to all relevant industry standards, guidelines, and regulations, including maintaining necessary certifications and insurance.Qualifications and RequirementsCertifications: Relevant certifications in Personal Training, Exercise Science, or a related field.Registration and Insurance: Current registration with a recognized professional body and appropriate professional indemnity and public liability insurance.Experience: Previous experience working with a diverse range of clients, particularly in exercise rehabilitation and specific populations (e.g., elderly, chronic disease management, disability) would be advantageous but not required.Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team environment, and a compassionate approach to client care.CPR/AED Certification: Current certification in CPR and First Aid.VICPOL: Working with Children/Working with Vulnerable peoplePreferred AttributesKnowledge of clinical and prescriptive exercise principles.Experience working in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends.Application ProcessTo apply, please submit your resume, cover letter, and copies of relevant certifications to Synchronistic Health & Wellbeing.
