Prelude Australia is currently recruiting for casual Allied Health Assistant position(s). We are seeking innovative 3rd or 4th Year University students in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Speech Pathology looking to develop skills in an organisation with career progression opportunities on graduation.
About the Outcome Assistant role:
The Outcomes Assistant will provide therapy assistant support to the service delivery team to enable outcomes for children and families to assist their development, wellbeing and to participate in meaningful activities and routines in the home, education settings and community.
The Outcomes Assistant will work under the delegation and supervision of an Allied Health Professional or Early Childhood Teacher to implement routines-based intervention and other programs developed by the 'team around the child', including the Key Worker.
The Outcome Assistant will work collaboratively with the team and is able to work independently without direct supervision at all times. Supports are delivered across meaningful natural environments including home visits, school visits, community visits and developing resources.
The Outcome Assistant role has the opportunity to access sector-leading early childhood intervention best practice training and other professional supports to enable you to deliver best practice early childhood intervention.
The role is uniquely positioned, upon successful graduation from your degree, to transition into a new graduate position and continue providing supports to children and families.
Selection Criteria:
Currently undertaking undergraduate study (3rd or 4th year) in either Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy or Speech Pathology.Ability to work with children and families using strength-based approaches.Knowledge of early childhood intervention and the transdisciplinary / Key Worker model.Experience working with children and families from culturally diverse backgrounds and people with disability.Effective written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work in a collaborative team.Ability to work within a billable model and be accountable for daily activities.Special Conditions:
