Come and join our dynamic Allied Health Team at the Peninsula Private Hospital. Provide clinical and administrative assistance and support to Allied Health Professionals to ensure the delivery of a high quality rehabilitation service.
Part time position available - Monday, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays with opportunity for growth.
As an Allied Health Assistant your responsibilities will include: Supporting members of the Allied Health team to provide a high standard of clinical care to patients.Working under the direction and supervision of physiotherapists and occupational therapists to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.Assisting with provision of Allied health services including facilitation of group classes, assisting with daily living tasks and mobility retraining.Assisting with cleaning and setting up of gym equipment.Documentation within the medical record.Peninsula Private Hospital is a 70 bed acute medical, surgical and rehabilitation hospital located 30 kilometers north of Brisbane. The Hospital offers a friendly and supportive staff environment with a strong commitment to the provision of excellence in the delivery of care.

Selection Criteria: Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance.Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines, manage time effectively and complete activities.Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy roles.Experience working with or providing care to frail/aged/disabled people in a health care setting or a basic understanding of exercise programs.Administrative experience is desirable.For further enquiries: Lara Paech (Allied Health Manager) 3883 9446.
