Allied Health Assistant (Hospital in the Home)Provide a flexible and responsive service that meets each patient's identified therapeutic goals by supporting the allied health professionals with the delivery of appropriate therapeutic clinical activities.The RoleAn opportunity has become available for an Allied Health Assistant (Hospital in the Home) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia.You willProvide a defined range of clinical screening assessments as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.Provide a defined range of individual treatment plans (either independently or with a team member) as prescribed by the treating allied health professional.Identify and implement changes to the treatment programs following consultation with and approval of the treating therapist.Demonstrate knowledge of the full scope of Allied Health Assistance practice.About youTo be successful in this position you will require:A Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent would be well regarded.Driver Licence.Availability to work on weekends and public holidays.Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B.Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required.Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed.Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost).About UsHospital in the Home (HITH) services provide multi-disciplinary team care which aims to deliver safe, reliable and efficient client and family-focused health care services, primarily in community settings including patient homes, workplaces, with some centre-based service delivery.
