Our Nutrition and Dietetics Service delivers expert nutritional care to a range of adult and paediatric client groups through inpatient, outpatient and community programs.
Nutrition and Dietetics also provide a Home Enteral Nutrition Service and work closely with food services to ensure the provision of high-quality nutritious patient-centred menus.
Our Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service Dietitians work in hospital and community facilities across Gladstone, Biloela, Emerald, Capricorn Coast and Rockhampton regions.
About the role: Contribute to patient care as part of the Allied Health team, by providing clinical support tasks under the direction and supervision of an Allied Health professional.
Provide a defined range of clinical screening assessments as delegated and allowed by testing guidelines and legislation.
Provide basic education on a defined range of topics to patients or groups of patients.
Actively contribute to a multidisciplinary team through departmental and team meetings, case conferences and other team projects and activities.
Contribute to quality improvement activities with increasing ownership within scope of practice under guidance of the allied health professional.
About you: Mandatory qualification/s: NilThis position requires the incumbent to undertake manual handling tasks that may include pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, reaching above shoulder height and reaching to the floor.
Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification such as Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or equivalent would be highly regarded.
What we offer: Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $82,130 p.a.
is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $34.53 - $36.30 p.h.
