Join Sunwater as Alliance Environmental & Approvals Advisor where you'll play a vital role in supporting the Burdekin Falls Dam project.
Working closely with the Alliance Environmental & Approvals Manager, you will advise on environmental planning and approvals, assist in implementing compliance and monitoring programs, and promote a culture of environmental and sustainability awareness and leadership.
As Alliance Environmental & Approvals Advisor at Sunwater, you will:
Assist the Alliance Environmental and Approvals Manager to identify, develop and obtain a range of planning and environmental approvals, permits and licences to facilitate project execution.Provide specialist planning and approvals advice to the project team in order for the project to meet its environmental obligations.Provide guidance, training and support to members of the environment project team and internal stakeholders on environmental requirements.We are seeking a talented individual with approximately 7 years' experience in environmental management compliance and a proven track record working in an environmental management team, preferably in a water service provider/water utility business.
You will hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant environmental discipline (e.g., environmental science, environmental chemistry, etc.
).
You will also bring:
Auditing expertise: Experience conducting audits to ensure compliance with standards and environmental approvals and licenses.Analytical skills: Strong analytical and research skills to develop strategies and practices that minimise environmental impacts.Communication skills: Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve organisational objectives.This role offers an array of attractive benefits including:
