Position Overview The Contracts Administrator is responsible for supporting the preparation, negotiation, and management of contracts with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders. This role involves reviewing contract terms, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and facilitating smooth contract execution. The Contracts Administrator will work closely with internal teams, including legal and project management, to address any contractual issues, mitigate risks, and ensure that all obligations are met in a timely manner. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and effective communication are key to success in this role.
Key Responsibilities Maintain contract registers, variation registers, contract compliance, submissions, insurances, bank guarantees and insurance bonds. Track and notify project managers on key contract milestones and expiry dates. Draft notices and extensions of time claims ensuring all deadlines are met. Assist in reviewing contractual obligations and contract templates. Provide support to prepare and forward relevant notices within designated time frames. Assist the tendering team with negotiations, modifications, proofreading, and assembling of response information. Required Skills and Experience 2+ years experience. Tertiary qualifications in law/commerce/finance/engineering or equivalent. A working knowledge of construction contract law, including relevant Acts, regulations, and industry standards. An ability to engage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers. Excellent time management and prioritisation skills for a diverse and challenging workload. High level written skills with excellent attention to detail.
