Allectum are seeking System Administrators with Linux, VMware and DevOps experience who have a NV2 clearance or higher (TSPV is preferred).

For this role, you will need knowledge and a skill level equivalent to SFIA Level 5 - IT Infrastructure.
It requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and effective communication to ensure a stable and scalable infrastructure that supports business objectives and development team needs.
Responsibilities will include: Managing, maintaining, and optimising production and pre-production environments that support application deployment, scaling, and management.
Management of Redhat Enterprise Linux, cluster, satellite and docker containers.
Deploy and maintain virtual machines (VMs) on VMware including monitoring performance, ensuring optimal resource allocation, managing VM backups, snapshots and recovery processes.
Implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
Automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
Maintaining and uplifting security best practices in collaboration with the Security Team.
Collaborating with cross functional teams, and participating in agile project processes.
Providing technical guidance and support as a Subject Matter Expert in multiple forums.
Implementing Knowledge Management Practices by creating, updating, and deprecating work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Resolving technical incidents escalated by the L 1-2 teams.
Key skills and experience required: A System Administrator with experience in Red Hat Linux, VMware virtualisation, and DevOps plays a key role in managing, maintaining, and optimising production and pre-production infrastructure that supports application deployment, scaling, and management in a containerised environment.
Experience working in a Defence environment in a similar role is desirable, but not essential.
Qualifications: Certification in Red Hat Linux Administration, Kubernetes, or related technologies is desirable, but not mandatory.
