As a Parts Interpreter, you will be instrumental in maintaining an ongoing positive relationship with the customer. You will be responsible for interpreting customer inquiries, identifying required parts, and providing accurate and timely assistance to our customers. As part of a small team, you will have a collaborative approach to work.
Answer customer enquiries F2F or via email or phone call. Discuss use and features of various parts, based on knowledge of machines or equipment. Determine replacement parts required, according to inspections of old parts, customer requests, or customers' descriptions of malfunctions. Correctly identify part numbers using drawings and part breakdowns. Provide accurate quotations for parts and accessories for customers. Process customer orders accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with technicians and sales teams to provide technical support and assistance. Maintain accurate records of parts inventory and transactions. Process COD payments. Keep abreast of new products, industry trends, and updates in machinery. Experience and qualifications: We are happy to consider both experienced applicants as well as those candidates who are looking for a new opportunity who have a technical education or certification in automotive or mechanical engineering is a plus. Ability to maintain a high standard of relevant product knowledge. Attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting customer needs. Skilled at adapting communication styles for the audience. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and collaborate and assist with cross-functional teams. Skilled at reading technical drawings and publications. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving issues, with an ability to determine issues requiring escalation. Ability to work well under pressure, take directions and meet deadlines. Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and inventory management software.
