Our client, a large and exciting FMCG comapny is seeking a FITTER FOR AFTERNOONS for its maintenance crew in the northern suburbs.
This is a full-time/permanent role with the client direct.
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of production by maintaining, repairing, and installing plant equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities: Maintenance of plant equipment using the following techniques: o Metal arc welding o Gas metal arc welding o Fitting and turning Promptly diagnose, trouble shoot and repair equipment when advised of a breakdown.
Proactively monitor equipment and carry out plant inspections looking for signs of potential problems.
Assist with breakdowns Suggesting and implementing improves to systems to enhance efficiency, reliability and safety.

Clean environment Work on and around new machinery TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS POSITION YOU MUST HAVE: Trade Certificate (Cert III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade) or 2+ years' experience within the FMCG industry, Experience in a similar role; An understanding of HACCP requirements; Welding experience Experience within a Food processing/industrial/manufacturing environment.
