What you'll be doing The Drug and Alcohol Clinician provides evidence-based clinical services to individuals of all ages referred to the service with issues related to substance misuse and/or dependency.
Selection Criteria Tertiary qualifications and current registration with AHPRA for Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, or eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers for Social Workers.
Demonstrated understanding of and skills in evidence-based interventions for substance use and dependence, with a sound knowledge of the different classes of drugs, their effects, and relevant interventions.
Demonstrated understanding of the broad health and social impact of substance abuse and dependence, and commitment to using the harm minimisation approach.
Demonstrated high-level communication skills with the ability to engage and collaborate with consumers, their families, and other stakeholders.
Current unrestricted drivers' licence and the ability to maintain it.
Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases This is a Category 'A' position.
All new employees must comply with the requirements outlined in NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015.
OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza.
