About the roleWe are seeking a values-driven and proactive Alcohol and Other Drugs Practitioner to provide counselling, liaison, support, case management and a range of interventions to assist in improving the health & well being for individuals, family members and significant others experiencing alcohol and other drug related harms.Reporting to the Team Leader, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Mildura,VIC.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 5.You will successfullyDeliver evidence based interventions in line with client centred treatment that aligns with AOD training and qualifications according to complexity of the client and family needs within a recovery framework.Provide case management support to clients.Develop individual treatment plans in collaboration with clients and include a range of interventions that address the needs or goals of clients.Clients are assisted to build networks and post treatment support plans that include personal networks, after care, self-help groups and community activitiesMake ongoing assessment of the client's issues, needs and circumstances from initial intake to exit.If required deliver support to Young People aged 12-25 as part of Swan Hill Headspace Consortium.Identify risks to clients, staff and TSA and bring them to the attention of the Team Leader as soon as possible.Identify service gaps and make recommendations for service delivery improvements to the Team Leader.You will have A relevant tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline.Minimum qualification Diploma Community Services.Relevant experience in a social service environment.An AOD Skillset or willingness to undertake within the first 12 months of commencing employment.A current Victoria Driver licence.A Victoria Working with Children check.What we offer As a registered NFP we offer our eligible employees real and meaningful benefits such as; NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit ($2,650) Flexible working conditions Health, fitness and financial discounts / benefits Paid parental leave - 12 weeks Up to 8 weeks leave per year through our purchase leave scheme?
