Central Highlands Rural Health are accepting applications for an Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) Counsellor to join the Mental Wellbeing team on a permanent part-time basis.
Role Statement The AOD Counsellor provides treatment and support to people whose lives are directly or indirectly impacted upon by the use of alcohol and other drugs (licit and illicit). The aim is to assist the consumer to change their behaviour in order to reduce the harm caused by the substance use or provide them with skills and support to respond more effectively to those with a substance use problem. These interventions are provided as both individual and group methods.
Details of Appointment: Permanent part-time position, working 48 Hours per fortnight.
Salary: Dependent on experience, as per award + superannuation.
About CHRH: Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne. It was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health on the 30th November 2019. Each of our campuses retains the name of the township in which they are situated - Clunes Health, Creswick Health, Daylesford Health, Kyneton Health, and Trentham Health.
