Seeking interest for an Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinician to join the team within Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Service on a Fixed Term Temporary part-time basis, 64 hours per fortnight from 15.07.2024 up to 10.03.2025. The Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs Service, within Townsville Hospital and Health Service, is currently seeking to recruit an Alcohol and Other Drugs Clinician to their team on a permanent full-time basis. 
About your opportunity:
As a clinician working in the Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drugs Service (ATODS), you will provide a broad range of base level assessments and interventions to individuals, their families, and groups in the context of minimising harm from substance use at all levels within the Townsville geographical area.
This role will regularly involve providing detailed assessment or case manager services and therapy to people affected by all types of substances and a diverse range of populations and cultures, including consumers who are opiate dependant (on the Queensland Opiate Treatment Program (QOTP). Provision of outreach service may include other locations within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service at times.
What's on Offer?
Generous remuneration package value up to $111,401 p.a. comprising salary range of $54.44 to $58.30 p.h. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1) or $111,772 p.a. comprising salary range of $38.70 to $58.67 p.h. (HP3), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation. Other employment benefits may include: professional development, salary sacrificing options, shift and locality allowances, corporate discounts, wellness programs and the EAP.
Role Requirements:  The successful applicant will hold a tertiary degree in one of the following: Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work. Please refer to role description for detailed requirements. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.Highly desirable: Credentialed status (or willingness to undertake and complete the requirements) with the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses.Possession of or working towards a relevant post-registration and/or tertiary qualification in mental health nursing or Alcohol and Other Drugs.While not mandatory, eligibility for appointment as an Authorised Mental Health Practitioner under the Mental Health Act 2016.Possession of class C driver's licence.All employees of the Mental Health Service Group may be required to work in other areas of the service. Employees must maintain vaccination protection and provide evidence confirming they have received the prescribed number of doses of COVID19 and Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD).
