Alchemy Recruitment Consulting is working with a Queensland-based coal mining company to secure an experienced Principal Environmental Advisor for a permanent position in Brisbane CBD.

As the Principal Environmental Advisor, you will report to the Chief Operating Officer. Your primary responsibilities include developing environmental management systems to ensure mining operations comply with the site's Environmental Authority and other relevant licenses.

About the role: Manage environmental approvals and systems Compliance Work with consultants to get environmental permits. Provide advice on how to meet environmental requirements. What we are looking for: Degree in environmental science, sustainability, or a similar field. Experience with environmental laws and regulations. Experience with environmental management systems. Strong project management and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to travel to the mine site 2 days per month.
